Oliver Linton is the Chair of the Faculty of Economics and the Professor of Political Economy at Cambridge University. He is also a fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge.
Formerly, Professor of Econometrics at the London School of Economics and Professor of Economics at Yale University.
He has written two books and more than a hundred articles on econometrics, statistics, and empirical finance.
He has consulted for the Bank of England, HM Treasury and the FCA on capital, liquidity and risk modelling.
He was a lead expert in the HM Treasury sponsored project: “The future of Computer Trading in Financial Markets".
He has acted as an expert witness for the FSA and the FCA in two stock market manipulation cases in the UK.
